The roots of an exceptional estate

Like a small village stretching along the Belon river, the Moulins du Duc estate originated from an old farm comprising two flour mills. After belonging to the Dukes of Brittany, these mills were subsequently passed down to several families of independent millers, bearing witness to a craft activity deeply rooted in the region.

From the inn to the fame

In 1965, the Auberge des Moulins du Duc was founded by Charles Mayen, a chef with a traditional approach. The spirit of the place was forged around authentic and generous cuisine. In 1967, the estate became a hotel and restaurant. Over the years, the establishment grew and established itself as a renowned destination, welcoming a loyal clientele as well as numerous celebrities.

A new lease of life for a legendary place

From 1967 to 2000, the establishment experienced a true golden age. In March 2010, the estate was acquired by Mr. and Mrs. Jouault, who envisioned a renovation project focused on its long-term sustainability. They breathed new life into the site and perpetuated its history as a renowned mill, hotel, and restaurant.

"At Les Moulins du Duc, every moment is a timeless experience, shaped by an exceptional history and location."
